I was wondering if Shay and Berg were related.
I noticed that Berg and Shay wore very similar clothing.
I also noticed that they both wore a medal featuring a tree.
I’ve seen people talk about these connections on the internet, but I think I found a possible link that proves they are related. I don’t think anyone else has considered this connection.
The Viking connection:
In an audio file, Berg tells Violet about an experience he had in the Animus. He tells her about a Viking ancestor that was part of a raid on Lindsifarne.
Shay found Viking armor that also had the medal with the tree on it.
This made me wonder if Shay found the armor that was worn by both his and Berg’s ancestor.
