The Archegesion of Delos was a ruined sanctuary located on the Greek island of Delos, dedicated to the island's mythical founder, Anios.[1]
During the Peloponnesian War, as the sanctuary reminded him of home, it became a favourite of the Spartan polemarch Thaletas, who came to the Silver Islands to assist the rebels led by Kyra. Finding a connection with another Spartan, the misthios Kassandra, he led her there for them to fight.[2]
