James II and VII (1633 – 1701) was King of England and Ireland as James II and King of Scotland as James VII, from 6 February 1685 to 1688. He was the son of Charles I.
Biography[edit | edit source]
During his reign, he ordered the building of King's Chapel in Boston, in the British American colonies.[1]
In 1688, he was overthrown in the Glorious Revolution.[2]
