The War Mask was a style of helmet-mask used in the 5th century BCE Greece. Due to its fierce look, the headpiece was said to have been forged by Ares, the Greek god of war, himself.
During the Peloponnesian War, the helmet was widely used by mercenaries, and it was also a common sight in the inventories of blacksmiths.[1]
