Franz Joseph Gall (1758 – 1828) was a German neuroanatomist and physiologist claimed as the founder of phrenology.

Biography[edit | edit source]

In 1806, Gall visited the prominent British Tory statesman William Pitt the Younger and King Gustav IV Adolf of Sweden as they were both plagued by Napoleon Bonaparte. He examined them both, using his controversial methods.[1]

Legacy[edit | edit source]

Although phrenology is now considered pseudoscience, Abstergo Industries claims to have discovered evidence to the contrary through their research in genetic memory.[1]
