The Grotto

The Grotto was the hidden workplace of Gunlodr in Útgarðar, Jötunheimr.

History[edit | edit source]

In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time in Jotunheim, the Æsir lord deduced his way into The Grotto to look for Gunlodr and ask for her presence under Suttungr's orders. There, he saw her notes and came across a device reminiscent of a broken mirror. Gunlodr saw and talked with him about trying to look into the future to prevent Ragnarök. Wanting to continue investigating the voices from the mirror, all they heard was silence. Thus, Gunlodr left with Havi to the Feasting Hall, but unbeknownst to them, a voice came through the mirror as they departed.[1]
