Salamanca is the capital city of the Province of Salamanca in the community of Castile and León in Spain.
History
In 1489, the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins infiltrated the mansion of the merchant Gabriel Dominico in the city to look for a painting made by Leonardo da Vinci. Overcoming the traps installed in the mansion, they succeeded in retrieving the painting before escaping the estate.[1]
Between 1491 and 1498, the Spanish Assassins discovered that their former member Diego de Alvarado had stolen two parts of the Staff of Eden. Worried that Diego would attempt to steal the third piece, they traveled to the University of Salamanca, where the artifact was safeguarded by their scholar allies. By the time they arrived, however, they discovered that Diego had already made off with the Staff section.[2]
