The Lundenwic Abbey was an abbey situated in the western outskirts of Lunden.
History[edit | edit source]
In 873, the abbey was visited by the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir during her time in the city. She climbed up to the dome of the abbey to survey her surroundings. Later on, she chased after a tattoo sheet lingering near the roof of the building.[1]
Around the same time, Eivor met a flyter by the name of Augusta the Cheerful near the abbey, and beat her in a flyting contest.[2]
