Benjamin Church (August 24, 1734 – 1778) was a member of the Templar Order and a surgeon for the Continental Army. He shot and killed Silas Thatcher during the assault on Silas' fort in 1754. At some point, he betrayed the Templar Order, prompting his former friend Haytham Kenway to temporarily join his son Ratonhnhake:ton's hunt to bring him to justice. In 1778, he was tracked down in Martinique and executed by Ratonhnhake:ton, after being tortured briefly by Haytham.
