The Raven Clan Cloak

A cloak is a loose, flowing garment typically without sleeves that is worn over the shoulders. Its primary function is to provide protection against the elements, though it may also be worn for fashion. As a result, it is usually designed with enough fabric to offer sufficient cover for the wearer, in contrast to a cape.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

During the Viking expansion into England in the 9th century, the Raven Clan shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir acquired and wore numerous cloaks, which allowed her to retain her anonimity and avoid detection by the guards while traversing hostile areas.[2]
