The Scriptorium, also referred to as Mansakh, was a writing institution in the Yasiriyah sub-district of Abbasiyah, Baghdad.
History
In the 860s, the Order of the Ancients member Zahra abducted fellow scholar Hunayn ibn Ishaq and threatened him to translate an ancient book found by the Order. While Hunayn was left locked in a room at the institution, he bided his time by lying about his progress. Fortunately, the Alamut Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq arrived and unlocked the door of Hunayn's room.[1]
After he freed the translator, Basim investigated the premise. On the building's second floor, he discovered Zahra's connection to the Order and a clue about her presence at the Scholar's Estate.[1] Before leaving, Basim also discovered a chest in another building, opened it, and acquired an upgrade schematic for the Abbasid Knight Sword.[2]
