The Bedale-Gilling Sword was a short sword of golden hilt and decorated blade.
Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relieved Eivor Varinsdottir's memories, modified her Animus and included this sword as part of the shieldmaiden's arsenal.[1]

Maxime Durand, one of the historical researchers for Ubisoft, said on Twitter that the Assassin's Creed: Valhalla developers worked with Sue Brunning, the curator of Early Medieval Europe Collections at the British Museum and a specialist in early medieval swords, to make an in-game model of the Gilling sword.[2]
