Connor stabbing a Loyalist with the bayonet of a rifle.

Bayonets were weapon attachments that were used in the American Revolution, by attaching them to the end of musket rifles. This allowed soldiers a way of using their guns in close quarters combat, as they could use the bayonet to stab or slash at their targets.

The Templar Silas was killed by one of these weapons, as the Assassin Connor Kenway air-assassinated him with one on the end of a musket, which he had taken from a nearby rack of guns.
