The Santa Maria Novella, in Florence.

The Basilica de Santa Maria Novella is a church in Florence, Italy. Chronologically, it is the first great basilica in Florence, and is the city's principal Dominican church.

It is often visited by the Medici for mass. After consulting with La Volpe, the Basilica was used by the Pazzi Conspirators to stage a meeting about Lorenzo de' Medici's planned death and the preparing of their arms for the event. Ezio infiltrates the Basilica to gain information. At the end of his infiltration, he notices an Assassin's Tomb housing Darius and consequently acquires the Assassin's Seal. The Basilica is the only Assassin's Tomb that is necessary for the storyline to progress.
