I'm not sure if anyone has said this yet but I beleive Ubisoft said that there would be small hints towards the next Assassins Creed game in the new DLC Freedom Cry in Assassins Creed Black Flag.
At the end of Assassins Creed Embers, Ezio gives a small box to the Chinese Assassin, it was never said what was in the box, only that is was something to only use in time of need, a last resort; possibly a peice of Eden.

At the end of Freedom Cry Adewale gives a box to a girl ( I forgot her name ). This box just so happens to look like the box Ezio gave to the Chinese Assassin in Assassins Creed Embers, I woulden't be surprised if it is the same box.
