Actually, Tesla said "ponosim se srpskim rodom i hrvatskom domovinom", meaning 'I'm proud of my serbian ancestry and croatian homeland.', so the statement that he was serbian-croatian is true. --[[Special:Contributions/109.60.116.99|109.60.116.99]] 17:13, September 12, 2012 (UTC) | |||

I just wanted to add that Tesla was a Serbo-Croatian. As silly as it seems, there is a difference. I would know, i'm half Croatian. 122.104.203.226 07:25, October 2, 2010 (UTC)
And I want to fix that: Serbo-Croatian is not a natinality, but a language. Tesla was definetly Serbian since his father was a serbian-orthodox priest. Simple as that, I would know, I'm Serbian. 109.165.223.187 18:57, July 12, 2012 (UTC)
his parents were serbian but he was an austrian and later american citizen. Aegritudo (talk) 19:17, July 12, 2012 (UTC)
I never heard of the Austrian thing but he died with American Citizenship so that would have to be included if we are going to argue about his citizenship. Then again, if this is the same silly edit was that is happening over in the wikipedia page then please try to resolve this here on the talkpages rather than edit warring. Seek, consel from the admins if needs be as they are fair and unbiased about these thing. (By the way: Thanks for actually taking this to the talkpage where we can see it resolved). -- ► Kaloneous ◄ ♣HelpDesk♣ 19:20, July 12, 2012 (UTC)
Well Kalo, that'd be as simple as putting in a trivia piece that said something along the lines of "During his lifetime, Tesla was granted citizenship in the United States."
It would save a lot of needless bickering and still cater to both viewpoints. Slate Vesper (talk) 19:52, July 12, 2012 (UTC)
