Given that the Green Dragon Tavern existed in Boston ''long'' before J.R.R. Tolkien was born, I doubt the tavern's name was a reference to anything in his books. | |||

Demolished?
I may be wrong, but wasn't the Green Dragon demolished in 1854? There was a second one constructed, which is still in use today, so wouldn't that be the one that the Assassins visited? --Crimson Knight Intercom 13:34, April 28, 2013 (UTC)

Questioning LoTR reference
Lord of the Rings reference
Given that the Green Dragon Tavern existed in Boston long before J.R.R. Tolkien was born, I doubt the tavern's name was a reference to anything in his books. If there's any connection at all, it would be the other way around :-). As such, I'd like to suggest that entry be removed, or at least modified. Morgan-wolf (talk) 19:51, September 5, 2017 (UTC)
