Yakov Yurovsky

Yakov Mikhailovich Yurovsky (1878–1938) was a Russian revolutionary best known for being the chief executioner of the Romanov family. He was also a member of the Russian Rite of the Templar Order

In July 4, 1918, Yurovsky became the commandant of the Ipatiev House, by the decision of the Ural Council. Intent on securing the family's Precursor box for the Order, he later directed the execution of the royal family on the night of July 16 to July 17, 1918.[1]
