Vultures' Camp

The Vultures' Camp was a makeshift camp on a islet between Thebes and the Theban Necropolis. It was set up by soldiers serving under their captain Athames and the nomarch Tychon to burn mummified bodies that were stolen from the tombs that they had desecrated to hide their crimes. In 34 BCE, the Hidden One Bayek visited the camp and eliminated the soldiers. There, he witnessed the atrocities that had been conducted, including the piles of mummies waiting to be burned.[1]
