The entrance of the cave

The Thieves' Cave was an abandoned cave in the Forest of Tears on the island of Chios, Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra followed a trail of mauled bodies to the cave and killed the bear inhabiting it.[1]
