Terry was a Scottish lumberjack who resided in the Davenport Homestead during the American Revolutionary War, alongside his wife Diana. After a young Ratonhnhaké:ton saved Terry from floating down a river on a log, which was carried away by a fast current, he and his friend Godfrey set up a sawmill on the Homestead, where they provided lumber for trading and crafting purposes.
Some time later, a robber entered the Homestead and targeted Terry's home, causing him a great deal of anxiety, despite the criminal being apprehended by Ratonhnhaké:ton. When provoked on this matter by Godfrey, who treated the situation with light-heartedness since it had been resolved, the pair began to fight, which called for Ratonhnhaké:ton's intervention once again.
