Teratsutsuki Den

Teratsutsuki Den was a bandit camp situated in Kawachi Heights in Izumi Settsu, Japan.

History

In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki member and shinobi Fujibayashi Naoe went and found the monk Meiran, a master of the , near the camp after a fellow monk worried about his welfare. When Meiran explained that he ran from a group of bandits for their sakes, Naoe reminded him of his demonstration at Makinoodera Temple. However, Meiran insisted to follow along his own path to find a better vantage point, which led Naoe to escort him. Venturing closer to the camp, they were attacked by the camp's bandits but ultimately defeated them.[1]

Continuing to escort Meiran, Naoe continued along the path until Meiran spotted a perfect vantage point. When Naoe agreed, she drew a sumi-e of the landscape and admitted that it relaxed her before they continued to the temple.[1] At some point, Naoe and her fellow Kakushiba ikki member Yasuke returned to the camp, found a treasure chest, and recovered a trinket Oni's Fury.[2]
