The Temple of Hatshepsut Wharf was a small military port in Upper Egypt west of the Nile. Connected to the nearby Temple of Hatshepsut, the port was under the jurisdiction of Tychon, a Greek who served as the nomarch of Thebes Nome during the 1st century BCE.
Around 38 BCE, the Hidden One Bayek of Siwa visited the port in search Tychon, having discovered he may have relics that could help the Hidden One to bring the spirit of the pharaoh Akhenaten to rest. After discovering him patroling the road between the wharf and the temple, Bayek hunted him down, recovering a ledger on his body containing a list of items he had secretly stolen.[1]
