The Temple of Hatshepsut was a an ancient funerary shrine commisoned for the pharaoh Hatshepsut and located in the Theban Necropolis in Upper Egypt.

In 38 BCE, the Hidden One Bayek of Siwa traveled to the temple, following the trails of a relic auctioned on an island near Thebes. There, he found Irsu, a heavily wounded merchant captured by Egyptian soldiers. The merchant directed Bayek west to Set-Ma'at where his nephew had taken the relic.[1]
