I removed OotA b/c it's misleading since the court wasn't aligned with them but their victims. But just remembered no confirmation of conscious Assassin alliance either.

The Tang dynasty (618 – 690, 705 – 907) was a dynasty of China that ruled from 618 to 907, with an interregnum between 690 and 705. It was considered a high point in Chinese civilization and a golden age of cosmopolitan culture.

The An Lushan Rebellion in the 750s which saw the involvement of the Order of the Ancients and the Hidden Ones led to the decline of central authority in the later half of the dynasty.[1]
