Svala (died 873) was a seeress and the mother of Valka. Together with her daughter she lived in the mountains near Fornburg. She was the reincarnation of the Isu Freyja and had also regained her memories of her previous life.
Biography
Knowing her death was fast approaching, Svala wished to enter Valhalla–the secret Isu simulation machine below Hordafylke. By using Freyja's memories, Svala knew how to enter the chamber and activate the machine. For the next five years, Svala relished in the freedom that the simulation gave her, even restoring her youth. When Sigurd and Eivor entered themselves, the two also being Isu reincarnations of Tyr and Odin, respectively, everyone present welcomed them as old friends. Svala tried explaining Valhalla to a confused Eivor, but Eivor and Sigurd eventually left the simulation, with Svala wishing to stay behind.[1]
Personality and characteristics
According to Valka, her mind was a jumble, as she spoke to the spirits when her final winter had come.[2]
