The skill tree is an in-game user interface that allows the player to upgrade the abilities of Eivor during the Viking expansion into England. Skill points are earned every time the player gains 1000 XP, or collects a Book of Knowledge from a monastery or military camp. In turn, the points are used to unlock skills, which are either passive in nature or require a command prompt to be activated. Up to 8 individual skills can be equipped at any time, split evenly between a Melee and Ranged Ability Wheel. When Eivor finds two copies of the same book, an ability is improved.[1]
