Shimagahara Valley was a forested valley in Otogi Pass in Iga Province, Japan.
History
In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke ventured through the valley after following a lead from Rokkaku Yoshikata about a group of his fallen students, the Godai Shinobi, wreaking havoc. Within the valley, they followed a trail of dead bodies and heard someone playing a flute.
Soon, Naoe and Yasuke caught sight of Kazumi, the "Godai of Wind", and confronted her. After killing her, they retrieved the tantō Iron Dispute from her personal effects.[1] While there, they also found and acquired the katana Masked Death from a chest.[2]
