The Scorpion Shield was a shield issued to individuals who were assigned as guardians of burial sites. The shield bore a scorpion motif which was said to fend off bad luck.
During the 1st century BCE, it was acquired by the Medjay Bayek of Siwa during his travels throughout Egypt.[1]
