The most common saracen soldier, a low-ranking soldier cannot grab nor can he counter attacks. The weakest foe, a low-ranking soldier will easily fall to a single counter attack from Altaïr. Low-ranking soldiers tend to get frightened the most in battle, fleeing if a few of thier comrads are killed.

Although they pretended to pledge their allegiance to The Saracens, each of them were Templars and each of them had a special role to play. Tamir suppiled the Templars with weapons and equipment, Talal supplied them with recruits, Abu'l Nuqoud supplied wealth and money to the cause, Majd Addin would control a lot of The Saracen politics and Jubair al Hakim was trying to convert the population to Athiesm. They were all either respected or feared which lead them all to have a high social standard with in their cities and with The Saracens.
High-Ranking Soldiers
High-ranking soldiers of the saraces army have much more armor as well as skill. Not commonly in appearance, these kind of soldiers can preform counter attacks as well as grabs. Altaïr can counter their attacks however, this will only push them down, not killing them right away, however, a hidden blade counter will immediately kill them.

Ezio, my friend! How may I be of service?

This article is in desperate need of a revamp. Please improve it in any way necessary in order for it to achieve a higher standard of quality in accordance with our Manual of Style.

Saracens refers to the Sunni Muslim armies ,led by Saladin involved in the Crusades (although it can be used to refer to Muslims or Arabs in general). During the time period revisited in Assassin's Creed, Saracens are defending the Holy Land from the Christian Crusader invaders, who seek to reclaim it in the name of Christ.

Although the Crusaders have had some victories (most notably the retaking of Acre), most of the Holy Land is still held by Saracens. The lands to the east and south-east are Saracen strongholds, and they occupy and hold the cities of Damascus and Jerusalem.
