Santiago de Compostela is a city in northwestern Spain, serving as the capital of the autonomous community of Galicia.
Circa 1492, the Spanish Assassins tracked Diego de Alvarado to the city,[1] following his defection to the Spanish Templars.[2] There, they stalked Diego to the city's cathedral and witnessed his meeting with and betrayal of Gustavo Ramírez, who was fatally stabbed by Diego. Taking possession of the third section of Saint James' Staff of Eden, Diego revealed his plan to deliver it to Tomás de Torquemada and made his escape.[1]
