Red Hill is an area of Worcester, Worcestershire, England.

History

In 1651, the royalist forces of Charles II battled the parliamentarian troops of Oliver Cromwell at Worcester. Charles II sent two sorties to break the Parliamentarians' advance to the east before leading his men to storm Red Hill. Though the Roundheads momentarily retreated, they were able to turn the tide of battle when reinforcements joined them. As a result, the King and his troops were forced to flee into the city.[1]
