Red Hill is an area of Worcester, Worcestershire, England.
History
In 1651, the royalist forces of Charles II battled the parliamentarian troops of Oliver Cromwell at Worcester. Charles II sent two sorties to break the Parliamentarians' advance to the east before leading his men to storm Red Hill. Though the Roundheads retreated for a moment, they were joined by reinforcements and turned the tide of battle, forcing the King and his forces to flee into the city.[1]
