The Old North Church, known officially as the Christ Church in the City of Boston, is a church located in the American city of Boston.[1]

History

Old North Church was the location referred to in the famous phrase "one if by land, and two if by sea", in which a signal was said to have been sent to warn of incoming British troops. This phrase was related to Paul Revere's midnight ride of April 18, 1775, which preceded the Battles of Lexington and Concord during the American Revolution.
