Okaleia the Lotus Eater (died c. 420s BCE) was a mercenary who operated in Greece during the Peloponnesian War.

Biography

Okaleia was once a nefarious smuggler who traded contraband good across the Aegean.  Her career was profitable until she sampled a forbidden fruit which turned out to be the sweetest she ever come across.   It is believed that the taste drove her mad, and then she became obsessed with finding the fruit's origins.  She even began killing all those she believed was keeping it from her.[1]

During the war, she crossed paths with Spartan misthios Kassandra.
