My Kingdom For Some Whores was a virtual representation of one of Arno Dorian's genetic memories, relived by a Helix initiate through the Helix Navigator.
Description
Arno approached the Marquis de Sade.
Dialogue
- De Sade: I was hoping you'd stop by, my dear Arno. I'm aware that you're deeply concerned with justice and so forth. There is a man, Grignon, who operates a string of brothels just north of here. Imposes horrendous working conditions on his girls. Things would improve markedly if you were to ... send him to eternal banishment.
- Arno: What's in it for you?
- De Sade: Oh! Cynicism does not become you, dear boy. Let us say that, should Grignon's collection of delectable damsels find themselves without a patron ... well! My kingdom would necessarily expand, wouldn't it?
Arno located and killed Grignon.
Outcome
The Marquis de Sade's business grew with the death of his competitor.
Trivia
- The title of the memory is a reference to Richard III, a play by William Shakespeare in which the titular character says, "A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse!".
