Merti was the wife of a Hebenouan farmer and one of the last three Medjay, Emsaf, and the mother of his son, Ebe.

In 70 BCE, Bion, the killer working for the Order of the Ancients, came to Emsaf's home looking for him. Since Emsaf wasn't there, Bion killed Merti and Ebe instead.
