Master, or Magister, was a title used by the Hidden Ones, ranking between Acolyte and Mentor. Its use was attested in documents from 30 BCE, when it was recorded in the Magas Codex,[1] until the late 9th century, when it was noted in correspondence between acolyte Hytham and his mentor, Rayhan.[2]

In the Roman province of Britannia, the Roman Hidden Ones used the Latin title of Magister.[3]
