Louis I of Orléans (1372 – 1407) was Duke of Orléans from 1392 to his death.[1] He was the younger brother to King Charles VI.
Rumors spread by the English accused Louis of being one of the lovers of his brother's wife, Queen Isabeau of Bavaria, leading to the legitimacy of his nephew's right to the throne being questioned.[2]
