Llanidloes was an Anglo-Saxon village build along the River Severn in the southeastern part of the region. It consisted of several houses.
In the 9th century, it was raided multiple times by Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, Vagn, and their raiding crew on his longship.[1]
