Les Actes des Apôtres (English: The Acts of the Apostles) was a French royalist newspaper created in 1789 and dissolved in 1791, whose columnists vehemently defended the monarchy and criticized the institutions of the French Revolution.
Such was their conviction that the faction initiated several crimes including robbery or auto-da-fé. During the revolution, the group – led by Renard – entered in conflict with the Café Théâtre, a commercial front managed by the Assassins and their secret headquarters, because of their opposition to theatrical performances and satire. Due to this, the Assassin Arno Dorian foiled many of their plans on separate occasions; he saved manuscripts from fire, protected the royal dressmaker Rose Bertin, retrieved Queen Marie Antoinette's necklace from the faction and finally assassinated their leader, Renard.
