Leila Marino (died September 2007) was an employee of Abstergo Industries until her suspicious death. Supposedly a suicide, the circumstances surrounding her were unknown to all but a few, and the coroner's report into her death became classified by Abstergo.[1]
Five years later, in 2012, Leila's close friend Lucy Stillman made several attempts to discover the truth behind Marino's demise by e-mailing several Abstergo employees, including the CEO Alan Rikkin and her supervisor, Dr. Warren Vidic. The only explanation that she received was that Marino had committed suicide over her relationship with an individual named Neumann.[1]
