Assassin's Creed

Kate Heartfield was announced as the author of then-upcoming Assassin's Creed novel The Magus Conspiracy in June 2022 as part of the series' 15th anniversary celebration. She was interviewed by community developer Sebasteann Barradas about the novel, including that it was to be the first of an expected trilogy.[3][4] It was officially released on 2 August in the United States and 8 September for the United Kingdom.[5]

On 16 August, during an interview with Ubisoft, Kate revealed that she had officially been signed on for a sequel and mentioned how she and her editors had talked about what the series' whole story arc would look like to have an idea of what could happen going forward. An outline had already been created by press time, and she hinted that some characters in the first book would reappear in the then-unnamed novel.[6] Three days later, Kate officially announced the title of The Resurrection Plot on her Twitter.[7] On 29 August, on the video game podcast, the ECHO Cast, Heartfield revealed that the second novel was tentatively slated for July to August 2023.[8]
