A Mohawk village.

The Mohawk were a tribe of Native Americans found in upstate New York. At least one of their member, Connor Kenway, would join the Assassin Order.

During the American Revolutionary War, the Mohawk sided with the British, and helped fight the Americans. After the war, most of the tribes migrated up into Template:WCanada.

Trivia

  • The name Mohawk – meaning "man-eaters" – was given to them by their rival tribe, the Algonquians. It is unknown if they were a cannibal culture, or if the name referred to their alleged ferocity in battle.
