Kaniehti:io (1731 - 1760) was a Mohawk woman and the mother of Ratonhnhaké:ton. She was an ancestor of William Miles and Desmond Miles.
Biography
Kaniehti:io was captured and was specially escorted to slaver Silas Thatcher along with other members of her tribe. However, her convoy was hijacked by Haytham Kenway and his men, which led to her and her fellow Natives' freedom.
Later, Haytham decides that Kaniehti:io would be a vital ally in helping his Order find the Temple of Those Who Came Before, whom are sacred gods to Kaniehti:io's people. After befriending one another, Haytham gains her trust by retrieving military plans from a fort. When they find the entrance to the Temple, however, Haytham's given key didn't work, and the two reveal their feelings for each other and sire a son, Ratohnhake:ton.
