John Russell, 1st Earl Russell (1792 – 1878) was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1846 to 1852 and again from 1865 to 1866.[1]
Biography
On 22 January 1866, John received a royal correspondence from Queen Victoria informing him that, contrary to his apprehensions, she could attend Parliment's reopening accompanied by her daughter "Alberta".
