Ilario Lombardi was a social outcast in Renaissance Italy, who was violently attacked by Assassins during his life and heavily scarred because of it. With the event leaving his mind traumatized and his body disfigured, Ilario resorted to hiding his body away behind clothing, accompanied by a metal mask to shield his face from others.
His genetic memories were later used as an Animi Avatar by the Templar company Abstergo Industries, for the training of their Animus recruits, under the title of the Pariah.
