HMS Prince was one of five legendary ships encountered by the pirate Edward Kenway in the Caribbean, during the early 18th century.
A Royal Navy warship, the Prince, was engaged by Edward Kenway's Jackdaw south of Saint-Domingue in the midst of a ghostly fog. The fog, along with the ship's black and tattered sails, gave her the appearance of a ghost ship, a likeness which frightened the crew of the Jackdaw upon first sighting her. In battle, she utilized mortars and attempted to conceal itself within the fog. Eventually, the HMS Prince was sunk by the Jackdaw, and Kenway claimed the 20000 reales worth of gold aboard the ship.
