Gerald was an accountant living in New Orleans during the end of the French and Indian War. At some point in his life, he became an associate of the Assassin Aveline de Grandpré. Later, he came to consider himself as an Assassin even if he lacked the physical training, referring to the Brotherhood as "our Order" when talking with Aveline.
