Gunnar was a norse farmer who lived in Ravensthorpe with his son Niels.
Biography
One day Gunnar had told his son Niels to tend to their animals and clean their home while he was out drinking, instead Niels went out and hunted in the forests and when Gunnar returned home he couldn't find Niels anywhere. When his son returned Gunnar raged at him, not noticing the young boy he had with him and punched him in his face. At that moment Eivor, Sigurd and Hytham arrived at the scene, having looked for the young man named Edward.[1]
Sigurd stepped in and told Gunnar to release his son and the group decided what to do with the monk. Eivor offered Edward as a slave to Niels as he had caught him three of the four times he had tried to escape. This angered Gunnar again but this time Niels avoided his father blow making Gunnar fall to the ground. Still having to make a choice Niels decides to let Edward go as a free man.
Later on during the day Gunnar was absuing his son for letting the monk go free, insisting he could never pay him back for it.
